It's been a busy week on the painting front. I've put in a couple of
loooong nights at the painting table getting the nucleous of my WW2 Jap
force ready for their first Bolt Action encounter.
Actually
in less than a week I've managed to paint and base 32 figs which is
pretty prolific for me so I must have been enjoying myself.
Anyway here they are.
I still have a bit of foliage to add to the bases but all and all I'm reasonably happy with my first attempt at 28mm WW2 figs.
Next up an 80mm mortasr and crew and a small infantry gun for fire support. May even stretch to a tank.
My good mate Dave 'Tex' Houston is frantically painting Chindits in a brave attempt to stave of the relentless advance of 'The Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere'
Hopefully I'll have a Bolt Action Battle Report for you in the near future.
"I must have been enjoying myself." Try not to do too much of this Gav and enjoy the painting instead!! Great work on these Japs though mate. Looking forward to seeing them on the table!
ReplyDeleteCheeky bugger!!I shall place a hex on your dice. Thanks for the kind words re my Japs.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely stunning work, really love these.
ReplyDeleteThanks Michael, they were great fun to paint.
DeleteThey are awesome, in fact they remind of when I got my first box 1/32nd Scale Airfix Japanese - beautifully done, but I can't start another metal horde.....SWMBO will have my banzai's!
ReplyDeleteSaved this as atop favourite site, many thanks for sharing.
Ahhh those Airfix 1/32nd scale sets...superb animation, pity they didnt do the 1/72nd scale version of the Japs followed by that other great set the WW2 Russians...a lost opportunity.
DeleteSuperb work Gav, and nicely set off against the terrain. I look forward to a battle-report in the near future!
ReplyDeleteThanks Scott, hopefully Batrep will not be long in coming, my scouts are infiltrating the enemies defences as we speak. I think a preemptive strike on the Australians before their paint has dried will throw them off balance.
DeleteWhat they all said - these look absolutely smashing!
ReplyDeleteThank you sir.
ReplyDeleteLovely job on these, I am looking forward to the battle report.
ReplyDeleteGreat blog with lots of humour.
Cheers,
Pat.
